Beautiful Nigerian actress, Mide Martins
Abiodun recently premiered her new movie “Abike” and took the
opportunity to dismiss rumors about her failed marriage.
In an exclusive interview with Naij.com, Mide Martins speaks on her marriage, why she would have been a designer, piracy an much more.
So far what would you count as the basic challenges in your career?
So far so good the only challenge has been the piracy if the government can come in and help us on the piracy issue I don’t think I have any challenge in the industry.

What have you been up to?
I just premiered my movie “Abike”, two weeks ago and that has kept me very busy.
Can you tell us a little about the movie?
Abike is just a jealous woman who is crazy about her husband. It also portrays the life of a frustrated housewife that does not want any woman close to her husband including his sisters. She did all this without realizing she was making a very big mistake.
What is your definition of fashion?
Looking gorgeous
What inspires your fashion?
Well I will say my job you know the kind of job that we do we have to look good always.
What would you never be caught wearing on a red carpet?
(laughs), I would never be caught wearing maybe a bum short. I feel that is absurd and should never be rocked on the red carpet.
What kind of clothes do you have more in your wardrobe?
I love dresses because it suits me a lot.
What kind of makeup are you most comfortable with?
I love a very simple makeup, nothing heavy.
How do you juggle between family and career?
Well it has been God because it’s not easy pushing the two together but God has been helping me with the two. Thank God am doing well with my career and also am fine with my marriage.

If not movie what else would you have done?
Maybe I would have been a designer because I love dresses, I love looking good and I love making clothes. Also, I have a sister who is a designer so I do some little things when she is around.
Do you think the government is really doing a good job in the movie industry?
I can’t say they have not done anything yet because the piracy is really killing us. Naturally if government had intervened probably it would have been eradicated by now. It’s still there and it’s really affecting us seriously.
You just finished a movie, what more should you fans expect from you?
Well you should expect more good movies from my stables. Abike is out is on “ibakatv” and I advise every woman.
It would be recalled that, Mide Martins it the daughter of the late veteran Nollywood Actress, Funmi Martins who stepped gallantly into her mother’s shoe in the Yoruba Film Industry. The beautiful Actress and Producer is happily married to the famous Nollywood Actor and Producer, Afeez Owo Abiodun and a mother of two lovely girls.
